I’m Mike Knott, and I've been fishing since I was five, and my passion has never stopped. I'm a Sonoma County native and Cal Poly SLO graduate. Whether fresh or salt, I enjoy learning from friends and putting in time on the water. I’ve worked in the tackle industry for 5+ years. Bass fishing is my favorite, but I’ll chase anything that swims. I love teaching rigs and gear, and nothing beats hearing a customer land a fish on the setup I recommended!

My name's JP. I’ve been on the water since age four—bluegill on bobbers—and fishing hard since 14. As soon as I got my driver’s license, I was chasing bass at Spring Lake. At 19 I started in the tackle industry, which expanded my targets to steelhead, tuna, striped bass, sturgeon—anything that swims. I’ve competed in bass tournaments and spent weeks in the mountains living out of my car to fly fish. I’ll fish for everything.

Hi, I'm Anthony Mirviss, a graduate of San Marin High (Novato). Fishing grabbed me in 2nd grade when I'd go on after-school pond trips with friends and catch bluegill. Over the years, I grew to love bass fishing, which became my main species target. I really enjoy helping anglers understand how bass behave through the seasons so they can choose the right gear and techniques.

I'm Dana Remy, born and raised in Sonoma County. My dad taught me how to fish, and the passion stuck - some call it an addiction. I'll chase any species, but I spend most of my time chasing Bass, trout, and stripers from a boat or kayak. I enjoy fishing alone, but prefer fishing with my brother Casey and anyone who shares the same obsession. I currently fish kayak bass tournaments, and I enjoy learning from others and sharing my knowledge.

In Loving Memory
Brent Nelson is, and always will be, an honorary team member of North Bay Fishing Tackle. Brent and Mike were best buddies in high school and bonded over a love of life and fishing. Brent was a multi-species angler and far ahead of his time. He also had a contagious positive energy and a great sense of humor. He taught Mike about the sport of bass fishing and a lot of techniques that Mike still uses today. Brent tragically passed away in 2016 at the age of 25, but his legacy lives on forever through the store and the people that loved and cared about him deeply. The shop’s logo is from an actual photo of Nelson fighting a White Sea Bass from the bow of a friends boat in Bodega Bay.
